Conducting independent safety review and inspection of platform and safety system for the Emirates Airline Burj Khalifa advertising campaign.

The lotus bar structure was handed over form construction contractors in early 2023 however in less than 18 months, the existing surface coatings have under performed. MAV Access carried out a full refurbishment including surface repair and preparation and application of a 3 coat paint system capable of withstanding the extreme conditions.

Compilation of evacuation strategy and cleaning and maintenance strategy for the world's largest observation wheel. With Ain Dubai set to be the largest observation wheel on earth, it required some out of the box thinking to maintain its working components as well as safety. The preparation of strategies for both maintenance and emergency evacuations was vital in obtaining the Dubai Civil Defence design and construction approval.

Design and installation of external rope access system. In the past, traditional buildings had roof space allocated for conventional building maintenance equipment. As modern architecture pushes the boundaries, access systems must keep up. The solutions of this project were to incorporate basic material and simplistic methods and integrate them into the facade components to provide safe and effective access to the upper sections of the structure.

Design installation of the (retrofitted) access system. Atlantis The Palm was modeled off the original Atlantis development in the Bahamas. In the Bahamas, the access systems are rarely used due to the climate in which it is situated. Although Dubai experiences similar weather conditions, it was determined that the omission of a comprehensive access system did not allow for the required maintenance on the building. As a result, a system of individual eye bolts was designed and retrofitted to the building roof areas and is now used for cleaning and maintenance activities.

Design, supply and installation of rope access systems for cleaning and maintenance. The design of the JA Park Hotel showcased a huge atrium skylight dressed with a light and ornate mashrabiya. Our challenge was to design a system that would provide access to the skylight for cleaning and maintenance without detracting from the aesthetics of the skylight itself. With the clever use of existing building lines and colors, we were able to design and install a network of access rails that transformed what would have been an inaccessible area gathering dust, into a completely accessible and versatile atrium area.

There have been a number of special projects and events been carried out on the Burj Khalifa. Everything from the world's largest facade screen, to iconic fireworks displays to World Record base-jumps. What made these projects possible was the design and installation of the temporary systems and the detailed consideration of access procedures. This building marvel tempts those who dream the impossible and MAV Access is on hand to find the solutions.

Supply of suspended access system during construction and design and installation of the access system for cleaning and maintenance. Gate Towers was a project that provided many access challenges both during construction and for ongoing maintenance. Tension netting and decking were used to gain temporary construction for secondary steel and cladding installation which was then stripped out to expose the permanent access system. Innovative thinking on this project was able to reduce construction schedules which in turn saved millions in build costs.

Access strategy for cleaning and maintenance. The Museum of the Future Dubai will become an iconic landmark to both residents and visitors to the region. Ensuring the structure is able to be cleaned and maintained was as important as the design of the structure itself. Using tried and tested methods in conjunction with innovative anchor placement, we were able to propose a comprehensive strategy that did not detract from the beauty of the structure and the aesthetics of the architects' design.

Ongoing cleaning and maintenance is carried out daily on the iconic Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark. The parks World Record holding 50 waterslides are cleaned and maintained via rope access.

External coating refurbishment of Smurf Village themed roof domes and walls. 8 years after opening, the brightly themed Smurf village was showing signs of exposure to the extreme Middle Eastern elements. Coating fading, peeling and cracking was fully restored through intensive surface preparation and coating application all via rope access.

Design and installation of rope access system. Yas is a 141m remolded 1970's navy frigate who's new composite superstructure required access for cleaning and maintenance. As a luxury yacht, the system needed to be as clean and as streamlined as possible. The installed system allows rope access technicians to access ordinarily inaccessible areas of the facade and glazing to keep the vessel in shipshape condition.

Access strategy for cleaning and maintenance. Zayed National Museum was designed to reflect the achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed. Its abstract design posed challenges for ongoing cleaning and maintenance. Solutions were found by incorporating the existing components of the 5 structures into the access strategy to reduce the need for additional infrastructure. Full internal façade refurbishment of structural supporting members and tree surround walkway platform. The harsh dampness inside the biome had caused the existing intumescent fireproof coating and other protective coatings to degrade. Refurbishment works were carried out via rope access with the biome operational in amongst the wildlife animals and vegetation.
